About us

We are looking for an insurance professional to join our New Zealand owned company based in Takapuna. Penberthy Insurance has been in business for more than 40 years providing business and personal insurance, medical & health, lending and specialist insurance products across New Zealand.

Due to both sustained growth and internal promotions, we are looking for a broker with strong commercial (SME) and personal lines experience to take ownership of an established portfolio—servicing clients across New Zealand. You will handle renewals, new business, endorsements and a steady flow of client queries.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and providing tailored insurance solutions.

Qualifications & experience

  • Level 5 Certificate in Fire and General Insurance
  • Capable of working at pace, effective autonomously working but also capable in a team environment
  • Strong admin and system skills
  • Minimum 2 year's experience

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Managing growth and retention of current portfolio of client.
  • Regular discussions with clients to obtain full understanding of their insurance requirements.
  • Provide suitable advice to clients according to their needs and ensure that client understands the financial advice.
  • Liaising with insurers regarding terms and negotiating rates.
  • Prepare and deliver formal insurance terms/options for new business.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of service and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and adherence to company policies and procedures.
