About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advice Training Lead to join our growing Distribution team.Reporting to the Head of Distribution Training and Technology, you will lead a team of high-performing Advice Trainers to uplift capability and engagement across both internal and external Distribution networks.
You will also develop and implement robust learning and development frameworks & strategies to enhance the competency and performance of Distribution Advice teams and external advisers. You will play a key role in shaping the future of advice capability across our business.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Lead, coach, and support a team of Advice Trainers to deliver high-impact capability outcomes.
Ensure team capability and development aligns with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.
Oversee and actively contribute to the design and delivery of adviser capability initiatives.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives and continuously refine programs based on feedback and outcomes.
Drive adviser engagement through the LMS as a central platform for learning and development
Manage the creation, updating, and quality control of all digital content hosted on the LMS
About you
You are an experienced people leader with a strong background in either Learning & Development or financial advice. You may come from an L&D environment, bringing expertise in developing and implementing frameworks and programs to uplift capability and engagement. Alternatively, you may be a seasoned advice professional with subject matter expertise in delivering tailored, high-quality financial advice that makes a difference to customers. Most importantly, you are passionate about developing people, driving engagement and continuous improvement.
Attributes that may help you succeed in this role:
Experience in a senior learning & development or capability leadership role preferred
Deep understanding of New Zealand's financial services and Advice distribution landscape preferred
Experience successfully delivering training programs both face-to-face and virtually
Expertise in adult learning principles, capability development, and LMS platforms
Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
Certificate in Adult Education or Learning Design (advantageous)
Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services (or equivalent) preferred
