About the Company
This is a unique opportunity to join a highly respected, privately held family office based in Auckland. With interests across property, private equity, trading businesses, and philanthropic ventures, the office supports a legacy of entrepreneurial success and is known for its long-standing, loyal team. The culture is high-trust, values-driven, and quietly ambitious.
About the Role
This newly created role supports both the CEO and principal of the family office, offering full-spectrum financial oversight across a complex portfolio of entities and trusts. With the group entering a new phase of strategic growth, this position is key to ensuring the smooth financial running of a dynamic and expanding investment operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with financial statements, tax filings, and reconciliations across multiple entities and trusts
- Manage accounts payable, reconciliations and support with broader administrative functions (Xero)
- Assisting the set up of companies and advise on appropriate structures across jurisdictions and tax settings
- Deliver financial modelling and investment support as needed by the CEO and principal
- Liaise with external advisors to ensure compliance, governance, and reporting requirements are met
So who are you and what is your profile?
You're a Chartered Accountant with a background in financial accounting or BAS, ideally from a private client, family office, or boutique advisory environment. You're technically strong, love detail, and thrive in a setting where you can quietly make a big impact. Comfortable with a high level of trust and discretion, you're someone who can operate independently, spot what needs doing, and just get on with it. You're equally happy rolling up your sleeves for admin-heavy work as you are building a model in Excel. You value long-term relationships, are curious about technology, and are looking for a role where you'll genuinely become part of the inner circle.
This is a one-of-a-kind role for someone who wants meaningful work in a high-trust environment with no two days the same.
