About the role:

In this role, you will lead a team of Project Managers to deliver electricity distribution network projects and new connections across the PowerNet managed networks. The Planning Leader is a hands-on position where you will actively manage projects and your team and work closely with network engineers to deliver annual works programmes.

You will establish strong working relations with all stakeholders and customers to ensure works are adequately planned and that completion of projects is within agreed budgets and timeframes and delivered per relevant Acts, procedures, and guidelines. You will be accountable for the commercial success of your projects from inception to project closeout.

What you will need to be successful:

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • At least five years of proven Project Management experience within the electricity distribution network
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Level 6 Diploma in a related discipline
  • Strong leadership - you will lead and embed efficiencies and innovations throughout your team and the wider PowerNet business.
  • Proven ability to develop successful stakeholder relationships
  • Expertise in delivering projects through project management disciplines, concepts and principles and have knowledge of electricity substations and distribution networks
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • A collaborative approach to working within and across multi-functional teams
  • Highly motivated with a pragmatic, flexible, adaptable approach to all that you do
