About Us

West Coast Health is a community-led health provider. As a non-governmental organisation governed by a diverse board of trustees, we are committed to improving the health outcomes of our people and honouring Ti Tiriti o Waitangi in all that we do.

We work closely with general practices, iwi/Māori providers, Health NZ, and NGOs to build and sustain accessible, equitable, and culturally safe health services for our communities

About the role

West Coast Health has been commissioned to transform the mental health system in Te Tai o Poutini.  We have been working steadily towards this goal and it is now time to expand our team as we move from design into implementation.

We are looking for a Tangata Whaiora / Consumer Leader to work alongside our Primary Mental Health Clinical Lead to ensure that lived experience is prioritised in our model of care.

What you'll bring

The ideal person will have:

  • Lived and living experience of personal Recovery
  • A genuine ability to connect with local tangata whaiora / consumers to amplify their voice
