The Role

We are looking for an experienced hospitality legend who has a track record of managing teams and developing people to run our two hospitality venues in the centre of Dunedin. Both venues have a full suite of managers and team members who are capable of running the sites themselves, we just need that insiprational leader who can come in support, get amongst and lead the teams forward.

The Venues:

This is a multi-venue role; you will be managing 2 iconic Dunedin sites that area situated about 100 metres apart, Dunedin Social Club and Velvet Burger Octagon.

Velvet Burger Octagon: New menu, gourmet burgers, cold beers, and an experience people talk about. Serving lunch, dinner, and late-night feeds right in the city's heartbeat.

Dunedin Social Club: One of Dunedins busiest bars, craft beer heaven, only local brews on tap, epic banter, and good vibes from after-work beers to late-night laughs.

The Pay: k depending upon experience in a similar role

You will:

  • Lead your team, provide feedback and set a high example by always operating above the line
  • Ensure the environment within the site is always top notch
  • Guarantee the customer journey for your outlet is being followed by all team members
  • Make sure quality of products, plus waiting times exceed expectation
  • Take responsibility for daily/ weekly procedures including ordering, receiving and stock take.

Skills / Experience / What we are looking for:

  • 5 years or more in a management role in a hospitality venue
  • Excellent presentation and strong clear communication
  • A managers certificate or LCQ is essential
  • You're looking for a long term career in hospitality
