Cookes is seeking an Operations Manager to join our Tauranga team.

The Role

Cookes is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Manager to manage daily operations and sales transactions in our Tauranga Branch to continue to drive the business forward. As a focused manager you will be experienced supporting exceptional teams across sales, safety and operations with a focus on exceptional customer service.

This role encompasses a blend of people management, sales, customer relationship management, safety and operational oversight. While the branch has an experienced and established team, they will look to you for support and guidance, giving you the opportunity to drive continuous improvement and foster positive change.

Your strong organisational skills, commercial acumen and proven sales management will distinguish you as a standout candidate, enabling you to oversee the efficient operations of the branch with a focus on delivering service excellence to the customer base.

You will bring robust operational capabilities, a solid grasp of key business drivers including P&L performance, and a confident approach to customers.

Maintaining exceptional customer relationships combined with your organisational and strong people skills will be imperative to your success, as is the ability to persevere in a highly competitive industry.

Whilst experience in the fishing forestry or construction industries would be an advantage, we are committed to investing in your development and will induct you into the industry, however a non-negotiable for us is your understanding of sales, logistics and making operational decisions using your strong commercial acumen and commitment to a high-performance culture driven to succeed.
