Territory Sales Manager – Lower North Island (Wellington based)

Full-time | Sawmill Brewery

Sawmill is an independent, New Zealand-owned brewery run by a small and talented team.

We're looking for someone to join our national sales team, based in Wellington and responsible for servicing the Lower North Island.

At Sawmill, we take a quietly radical approach to brewing and business. We're the first brewery in New Zealand certified as a B Corporation. Innovation drives everything we do, including:

  • Reducing waste to landfill to 9kgs per week — less than the average NZ household
  • Capturing 2 million litres of rainwater each year for brewery use
  • Generating 20% of our energy needs from solar
  • Designing an anaerobic digester with NIWA to treat wastewater, restore wetlands, and cut LPG use by up to 80%

With 20 years of brewing behind us, we've built a reputation for quality, consistency, and a strong team culture.

Who we're looking for:

We want someone who is passionate about people, quality beer, sustainability and solving our customers challenges and needs. You will be hungry to find and finish sales opportunities and have the ability to operate autonomously.

You'll bring:

  • 3–5 years of sales experience (ideally in the liquor or beverage industry)
  • Confidence working independently and managing your own time and region
  • Strong organisational skills — you plan well, stay on track, and follow through
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a problem-solving mindset
  • A clear connection to what we stand for

Sales experience of 3-5 years within the beverage/liquor industry would be a huge advantage, however for the right candidate we are willing to nurture and grow this experience.
