The RoleWe're searching for a creative, highly experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and shape the food identity of Queenstown Wharf Bar. You'll design menus that celebrate local produce, oversee daily kitchen operations, and inspire your team to deliver consistent, top-quality dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations including prep, service, and team management
  • Design and execute a menu focused on wood-fired pizzas, small plates, and modern bar dining
  • Maintain food safety, quality, and presentation standards
  • Manage stock, ordering, and food cost control
  • Train and develop kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with FOH leadership to ensure smooth service

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a busy kitchen
  • Strong leadership and organisation skills
  • A creative, modern approach to casual dining
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and cost management
  • Calm under pressure and passionate about mentoring others
  • Must be available to begin work December 1st, 2025
