The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and work across The Grille by Eichardt's, and Eichardt's Bar.

You will prepare and deliver exceptional quality food and run a busy service, working either independently or as part of a team.  We are looking for hard-working and dedicated kitchen professionals, with creative flair and initiative, who are committed to upholding our high-quality standards and OH&S policies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to prepare and deliver exceptional food
  • Uphold high-quality standards
  • Adhere to OH&S policies
  • Cooking and prepping for the following day as well as kitchen clean up

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • 3+ previous experience working as a Sous Chef
  • Must be able to work independently in the kitchen.
  • Must be competent in simultaneously managing prep and service
  • Strong management of stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic and team player approach
  • Strong time management and communication skills
  • Flexibility in available hours, covering late nights and early mornings
  • Current Working rights in New Zealand
