This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of our amazing kitchen team. We have a number of Kitchen Hand and Chef roles available with great training and development opportunities.
The successful applicant will have at least 2 years of relevant work experience. These positions are full time and we can guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week. We run a 7 day roster - weekend and evening work will be required.
Kitchen Hand responsibilities will include:
- To manage the operation and organisation of a section of the kitchen.
- Assisting chefs and producing stipulated items related to the menus and functions to the restaurant standards, to satisfy diner expectations.
- Keep kitchen environment and equipment clean and tidy and operational.
- Support the team with a smooth service.
Commis Chef and Chef de Partie Responsibilities will include:
- To manage the operation and organisation of a section of the kitchen.
- Assisting chefs and producing stipulated items related to the menus and functions to the restaurant standards, to satisfy diner expectations.
- Produce maximum quality whilst assisting the Head Chef.
- Plan and organise work flows and order food as required.
- Assisting the Head Chef in costing recipes and developing menu items for the restaurant.
- Keep kitchen environment and equipment clean and tidy and operational.
- Uphold morale and communicate with and support fellow staff. Provide training to kitchen staff as necessary.
Sous Chef Responsibilities will include:
- Assist and manage the operation and organisation of all aspects of the kitchen environment.
- Assisting chefs and producing stipulated items related to the menus and functions to the restaurant standards, to satisfy diner expectations.
- Produce maximum quality whilst assisting the Head Chef.
- Assisting the Head Chef in costing recipes and developing menu items for the restaurant.
- Taking responsibility for team training and mentorship.
- Responsible for ordering stock and ensuring all stock levels are correct
- Ensure that all food is accounted for and charged correctly.
- Responsible for the operation and organisation of all food preparation areas.
- Identify, develop and maintain establishment policies and procedures.
- Maintain standards for food safety and high standards for quality control.
