Business Development Manager

My client is a fast growing business delivering a highly valued digital solution to the construction sector across New Zealand, Australia and the UK. With strong demand from the market and a product that solves real industry challenges, the business is entering an exciting phase focused on commercial expansion and customer acquisition.
They are looking for a Business Development Manager to take full ownership of the South Island region and continue building their footprint across Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown and beyond. In this role you will identify opportunities, build relationships and manage the full sales process from first contact through to conversion.
About the role
• Growing brand presence and customer adoption across the South Island
• Building a pipeline through proactive prospecting and value based conversations
• Managing the full sales cycle and converting new customers
• Developing relationships with builders, contractors, merchants and key commercial decision makers across the industry
• Attending trade events and networking opportunities to create visibility and demand
• Working alongside a high performing commercial team and benefiting from a two week onboarding and continued support from leadership
About you
• You understand how the building and construction industry operates and can speak the language of the sector
• You enjoy opening doors, identifying opportunities and turning conversations into revenue
• You are confident in solution selling and demonstrating value rather than competing on price
• You thrive working autonomously and like taking initiative to build momentum
• You enjoy being out meeting people and growing a region rather than waiting for leads to come to you
Package
• OTE $145k with uncapped commissions
• Company vehicle included for personal use
Travel
• South Island travel with a couple of nights away every four to five weeks
• Wellington travel once per quarter
