We are currently seeking a Business Development & Account Manager, to form our service professional team in Christchurch to service South Island region. This is a full-time sales role that will play a crucial part in driving new business growth for our organisation in terms of acquiring new customers and managing existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, business develop, and close opportunities in providing total service solutions through different channel offerings, such as Preventive Maintenance Contracts, Equipment Upgrades & Retrofits, Reactive/Breakdown Repairs, and by also cross selling, targeting, spare parts & consumables sales and bundled service packages with new equipment sales
  • Lead solution design and proposal development in collaboration with service operations, engineering, and finance teams.
  • Conduct client needs assessments and present compelling business cases.
  • Nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders (facility managers, asset owners, consultants, procurement).
  • Drive growth across both new clients and existing portfolios through strategic account management.
  • Track market trends and competitor offerings to refine our value proposition.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue per account.

What we're looking for

  • Must have relevant selling experience with similar HVAC service business previously.
  • Proven track record of successfully closing new business deals within the HVAC industry
  • Strong understanding of HVAC products and local market knowledge
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve shared goals
  • Passion for building long-term, consultative relationships with clients
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a sales or business development role
