We're seeking an inspiring Service Manager to lead a 24/7 youth respite service in Albany, supporting young people aged 16–25. This short-term, community-based service provides a crucial alternative to inpatient admission, offering safe and supportive respite for rangatahi experiencing mental distress. This role includes on-call responsibilities.

In this role, you will:

  • Guide, support, and develop a passionate team delivering person-centred care.
  • Ensure services are safe, effective, culturally responsive, and grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and drive continuous service improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships with tāngata whaiora, whānau, clinical teams, and community partners.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Full professional registration and a current APC under the HPCA Act 2003

    (e.g., Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, AOD Clinician).
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health and addiction services.
  • A relevant Level 7+ tertiary qualification.
  • A full, clean NZ driver's licence.
  • Your communication skills, cultural competence, and collaborative style will help shape a service where young people feel safe, supported, and heard.
