About the role

We are seeking a flexible, customer-centric candidate with strong communication skills to join our Corporate Services team. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and phone queries, whilst also engaging with our members and Law Society staff. The facilities aspect of this role will see you setting up and clearing meeting rooms, assisting with IT/AV, ordering and managing catering and other office tasks.

This is a casual, office-based position and the successful candidate would be available to assist the team on busy days and to cover leave.

Our office is open 8.30-5pm Monday to Friday.

What you will be doing:

  • Welcoming visitors and contractors
  • Answering phone enquiries from lawyers and the public
  • Assist at the front desk with administrative tasks
  • Coordination and booking of meeting rooms, setting meeting rooms up and arranging and setting up catering
  • Ordering supplies and dealing with deliveries
  • Other tasks supporting the smooth running of the office

Our ideal applicant will have some, or all, of the below:

  • A positive, can-do attitude (as the role is varied)
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Knowledge or Microsoft Office suite and Zoom
  • An interest and knowledge in IT and audio/video programmes
  • Knowledge of facilities, building security/access systems
  • An interest in health and safety
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Customer focus and ability to use initiative
