About the RoleWe're looking for a dynamic Area Manager to take ownership of the Central and Northern South Island region, including the West Coast and Tasman/Marlborough. This key position is focused on driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and promoting our brand across the South Island.

Our successful candidate will enjoy a high level of autonomy, managing your workload and travel schedule. Key activities of the role will include:

  • Providing specialist, tailored product advice to customers
  • Managing and growing key customer accounts, including pricing and contract negotiations
  • Expanding the customer base and identifying new business opportunities
  • Using data analysis tools to track and drive sales performance
  • Developing and maintaining long-term business relationships
  • Overseeing stock levels and product availability
  • Achieving monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Working effectively and collaboratively with the Christchurch team

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role you will require a strong background in sales and be highly motivated by achieving sales targets. You will have the ability to quickly build product knowledge and be committed to delivering outstanding service to our customers. A confident communicator and salesperson, you will build rapport and business relationships with ease and take a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities.

You will be highly organised and capable of managing your workload independently, while also contributing positively as a valued team member of the Christchurch branch and wider business. Strong IT skills are essential, along with the ability to confidently use or quickly learn sales systems and software (including Microsoft 365, Teams, Microsoft BI, and our sales OS).

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday. Travel to the West Coast and Tasman/Marlborough will be required (usually once per month). To best support the region, the successful candidate will be based in Christchurch.
