**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
As the Executive Assistant to the Director of Public Transport and Active Modes you will be the glue that brings the team together with seamless organisation. The work is challenging, varied and meaningful, and you'll be supported by a great team who are constantly working to support and deliver an effective transport system for Auckland.
You will perform a diverse range of functions, including but not limited to, diary management, presentations, engaging with key stakeholders, report and committee preparation, co-ordinating leadership & governance activities. No two days will ever be the same

An experienced executive partner to executives, you will be confident in your abilities and build credibility easily with all levels. You are someone that gets things done, as well as a natural curiosity to embrace and be part of the bigger picture to support strategic goals. An expert in the Microsoft Office 365 suite you will be comfortable operating in a digital environment and take a high level of pride in your work for both internal and external interactions. You will be someone who personally invests themselves in contributing to the team culture and working towards the common goal of Auckland Transport.
Skills that will help you to be successful in this role include:
- 5+ years' experience in an Executive Assistant or senior administrator role
- Board support experience
- Highly developed organisational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading and editing skills - essential for preparation of Board papers (and preparing papers and business plans)
- High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams
- High level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate with numerous stakeholders and build relationships at a senior level
- Proactive, energetic and positive
- Service-oriented and a passion for going the extra mile
