- If you're passionate about land management, erosion control, riparian restoration, or protecting biodiversity - and enjoy working with iwi, farmers, community groups and stakeholders - this role offers the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
- Be a registered Waikato-Tainui tribal member.
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and planning skills.
- Be organised and self-motivated.
- Be a competent MS suite user.
- Have a full driver's license, be physically fit and a confident swimmer.
- Ideally you will enjoy working with people; have a real interest in promoting sustainable land use and protecting and enhancing the natural environment.
**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
- Fixed-term full time position, starting November 2025 and ending February 2026.
- Work alongside staff in the field and office who are implementing river and catchment management.
- Work in collaboration with landowners and local iwi within the Waipā, lower and Central Waikato zones.
- Help prepare and review plans and reports to assist with project management and implementation for the teams' work programme.
