Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
As a Senior Student Centre Advisor, you'll be the key escalation point for student enquiries across enrolment, exams, assessments, and graduation. Working as part of a collaborative, solutions-focused team, you'll provide clear, timely advice that helps students confidently navigate university processes.
In this role, you'll lead aspects of training, reporting, and day-to-day operations, supporting the division to deliver exceptional customer service. You'll also manage a primary and secondary portfolio, using technology and continuous improvement to enhance how we work. When required, you'll step in for the Student Centre Manager to help keep the team running smoothly.
Salary will be in the range of $85,279 to $97,532 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

You'll bring strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, along with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage a busy workload. You understand university processes and know how to build effective relationships across teams to achieve shared goals. You're confident investigating issues, making sound recommendations, and using technology to improve the way work gets done.
You're an excellent communicator with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You're experienced in supporting team development through training, documentation and continuous improvement, and you're comfortable working in an environment of ongoing change. Culturally aware and adaptable, you're able to identify risks, offer solutions, and maintain high standards under pressure.
It would be an advantage if you've studied at tertiary level, can speak a second language, or have experience with financial processes such as receipting and reconciliations.

The work of Student Systems and Administration comprises the following: administrative processes from enrolment through to graduation, enquiry management, as well as maintaining the student systems.
The Director of Student Systems and Administration is responsible for the overall management of the Division, with assistance from the Managers.
