We are seeking a proven performer who has an interest in environmental management to work with our Hamilton based catchment management team. The catchment management team focuses on building partnerships with landowners and stakeholders on projects relating to soil conservation, water quality and bio-diversity protection and enhancement.

You will drive the catchment management work in collaboration with landowners and local iwi within the West Coast Zone. You will also help prepare and review plans and reports to assist with project management and implementation of the zone work programme. Importantly you will enjoy working with people; have a real interest in promoting sustainable land use and protecting and enhancing the natural environment.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Exhibit and support customer service culture in a respectful, accessible, & transparent way
- Be organised and self-motivated.
- Deploy strategic and tactical thinking skills
- Display excellent professional communication and relationship building skills.
- Be a competent MS suite user.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Relevant tertiary education preferably in agricultural or natural sciences.
- Ideally at least 6 years' experience in a land, catchment management, and/or similar role.
- A clean, full driver’s license and a confident swimmer.
