Join the Resource Recovery Team, responsible for managing key solid waste contracts in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. We support Council in implementing innovative contract management strategies which ensure we maximise value, minimise cost and ensure environmental integrity.

**About the role**:
The Team Leader Resource Recovery is responsible for the project management of waste related projects while providing primary contractual and commercial support to the Manager Resource Recovery. The priorities of this role are to:

- Calibrate service level requirements with the contractual commitments and overseeing these commitments.
- Develop and establish contract management control polices, guidelines, processes, and procedures in collaboration with the team.
- Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control waste related projects.
- Provide team support, guidance and enablement to the Contract Supervisors and other team members.
- Work collectively across the solid waste supply chains to identify efficiencies and savings in waste minimisation opportunities.

**About you**:

- A tertiary qualification relevant to contract, operations, project management, purchasing or similar.
- At least 10 years' industry experience in similar environment with at least 3 of those years in a leadership role within a large organisation
- Previous experience in budgeting and financial analysis/reporting.
- Strong experience in writing reports including technical reports for a wide audience.
- Demonstrated team mentoring and training delivery in an operational environment.
