**Āu Mahi | What You Will Do**

We're looking for an experienced Team Leader Engagement and Learning Support to join our library team. If you have a passion for fostering student success and creating a welcoming, library and learning environment, and are a natural leader with a drive to make a difference in your community, we would like to hear from you.

As Team Leader Engagement and Learning Support, you'll help build student retention and success by helping to lead the library's front-facing engagement and learning services. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and mentoring team members through coaching, supervision, and performance development.
- Ensuring our learning spaces are safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose, supporting online and multidisciplinary learning.
- Collaborating with other service providers to deliver seamless support for students, staff, and the community.

**Mōu | Who You Are**

As a leader of a dedicated team, contributing to the success of our students and community, we are looking for you to have:

- A minimum of 5 years of professional or recent library leadership experience, including:

- Serving diverse groups,
- Project management exposure, and/or
- Managing communication strategies across stakeholders.
- Hold a bachelor's degree (NZQA Level 7) (essential).
- Hold a Library qualification and/or professional body membership (desirable).
- Leadership experience, including team management, recruitment, training, and change management.
- A proven ability to manage public inquiries and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to upskill and train team members on emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for clear and concise messaging.
- Superior decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

You will work alongside a diverse professional Library team who provide a range of services, resources and expertise that support undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching, and that enhance world leading research and innovation. We do this through the provision of information resources; reference and information services; digital literacy programmes; e-learning support and academic liaison; research support including repositories; Māori and Pacific support and through our heritage collections.
