In order for us to respond to the challenge created by the exciting commercial and residential activity happening right now and the activity projected for our city for years to come, our Resource Consents unit have an exciting opportunity to join our team.

You'll hold a qualification in urban and regional planning, resource management or similar along with a strong working knowledge of the Resource Management Act and relevant local government legislation. You'll have a proven ability to effectively lead and coach staff to continually improve their own knowledge and skill.

We are particularly looking for a Leader with:

- ** Robust problem-solving and decision-making skills.** Keep an open mind, get to the point, get it right, understand the bigger picture.
- ** Strong communication skills.** Engage from a position of mutual respect, set the example, build a sense of team, strong relationship with staff and stakeholders.
