Inland Revenue's Marketing and Communications is made up of four teams: Corporate narrative, Internal communications, Information for customers, and Marketing for customer behaviour change.
The Marketing team engages with customers on their preferred channel, and drive digital behaviour by providing guidance on social media about how to self-serve online.
We communicate informative content in fun and engaging ways and in a typical week answer hundreds of general tax and entitlement questions, whilst keeping an eye out for emerging customer and/or system issues. We also use social media as a key channel in many of our marketing campaigns.
Mō te tūnga - About the role
Reporting to the Domain Lead - Marketing you will actively contribute to the Marketing team, focusing on our social media channels. You will be encouraged to share your ideas and expertise in social media ensuring we reach, educate, and communicate clearly with our customers.
**In this varied role you will**:
- lead the creation of in-house social media campaigns
- respond to customer comments on social media
- escalate any concerns raised by customers on social media
- manage the monthly social media content calendar
- contribute to direct marketing and advertising campaigns as needed.
Mōu - About you
**To be successful in this position you will**:
- be a savvy social media expert with proven experience uploading posts and running campaigns
- experience with direct marketing with an understanding of different channels
- prefer working at pace to effectively support the needs of the team
- have strong communication skills and can adapt tone to reflect the audience
- enjoy building relationships and collaborating with people to get things done
- have an eye for continuous improvement and innovative engagement
- a relevant marketing qualification is desirable.
