No two days are the same. - Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us - We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Business Lending tīma (team) within Customer, Products & Services (CP&S) to achieve our objectives to maintain and develop market leading products, services and customer propositions. You’ll also be involved in substantial transformation initiatives to replace legacy lending systems and product platforms, which will provide a critical foundation for BNZ to grow and innovate as New Zealand’s largest business bank. You'll be part of a tīma that is critical to how BNZ turns up for NZ businesses from the smallest small business to the largest institutional client. - Mō te Tūranga | About the Role - We sat down with our Portfolio Lead, and they let us know the following about the tūranga (role). - What are the day to day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete? - The focus will be on the Business Lending value chain, risk and product remediation activities. This includes: - Documenting lending process requirements for our strategic programmes- Improving our product risk environment by translating risk and remediation learnings into business requirements for our strategic programmes- Identifying and fixing issues with our products which are causing customer and company impacts.- Working with remediation leads and data analysts to create a remediation solution and remediate customers.- Actively managing and responding to risks, events, findings and treatment plans in a timely manner.- Effectively leading and communicating product, system or process change initiatives. - What is the tīma culture and environment like? - We have a close knit and highly engaged tīma who support each other and like to have fun while they do it. - This tūranga over the next 12 months will specifically be focused on accelerating our journey towards a single credit origination platform, core ledger replacement, product fixes and remediation activity across the business lending product portfolios. - What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? You will have the ability to directly inform strategic programmes of our business requirements and remedy our product solutions to provide meaningful outcomes to customers, colleagues and the company. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? The pace at which we need to mahi, the complexity of the issues we are identifying and working with our data. Meeting our remediation key risk indicators (KRIs), delivering outcomes for customers, fixing our products and informing future state business requirements and working collaboratively across Business Lending, CP&S and wider business units. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga? We're looking for someone with exceptional written and oral communication skills, high level of attention to detail, experience, or ability to mahi with complex product and customer data, ability to challenge colleagues to get the best, most timely outcomes and a drive to improve products and processes. You would have sound experience with and around our business lending products, lending and operational processes.
