Personal Assistant to Head of Regulatory Compliance

Playing a key role in our city's day to day functions is the Regulatory Compliance group. As a group we are responsible for Compliance & Investigations, Alcohol Licensing, Animal Management, Environmental Health, and much more. Our people are the key to our success, in this role you will provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to the Unit's Head and other Team Leaders as required. You will be the gate keeper; fielding and managing incoming tasks, drafting customer correspondence and responses to requests.
To be successful in this role you will have a proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work independently and get things done. You will have extensive previous experience as a Personal Assistant in varied and fast paced surroundings, teamed with the high level of computer literacy and competence in office technology systems. An understanding of Regulatory Compliance and experience in a local or central government environment would be valuable but not essential.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and takes a creative and proactive approach to problem solving by thinking outside the square. You will use your effective communication skills to develop high quality responses, presentations and reports and have a sense of urgency to ensure deadlines are met.

- Hours of work_ - Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week

- Location_ - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Offices, 53 Hereford Street
