We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven individual to advance their career by joining our Merchandise Team as a **Product Manager - Packaging** in the **Category Team,** based in Wiri, Manukau.

Reporting to the National Category Manager, this is a pivotal role with massive potential and will see you responsible for developing and achieving long-term strategic growth and profitability. Your primary focus will be on the packaging consumables category and implementing range expansion.

**Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Develop and maintain pricing strategies that maximize the opportunity for category growth through research on market pricing
- Co-ordinate the implementation of promotional campaigns, sales tools, promotional material and catalogues including managing supplier bookings and sign offs
- Assist the National Category Manager to utilise market research to anticipate competition and market trends and translate into ranging strategies
- Responsible for implementing Service Level Agreements (SLA) with suppliers and monitoring and holding suppliers accountable
- Provide accurate forecasting to the Category Buyers to ensure correct range and timeliness for stock holding is achieved to maximize revenue and profitability objectives
- Co-ordinate, alongside Category Buyers, the stock management of product being introduced and removed from each channel
- Have proven category or product management experience
- Ideally have experience or knowledge of the packaging industry and products
- Have exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Have the ability to exercise initiative, judgment and discretion
- Have demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of marketing and category management techniques coupled with a proven track record of developing and executing category plans, promotions and communication plans
