We’re looking for a Risk Manager to join our operations team here in Aotearoa reporting to our (Wholesale Distributors Ltd) WDL Operations Manager. Joining us, You'll be responsible for the maintenance of the (Wholesale Distributors Ltd) WDL Food Safety Policy and Health and Safety Policy and risk management across the WDL Group.

**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
The purpose of this role is to provide oversight over the key controls for our business within our network of Supermarkets on a rotational basis. This role involves a bit of travel to cover both South and North Islands.

Some key responsibilities include:

- Executing operational audits by identifying and assessing key controls while supporting improvements in Internal Audit’s own processes and tools.
- Presenting audit findings in both written and verbal format to clearly communicate to various levels of management.
- Interpreting data to provide valuable insights to management.
- Completing root cause analysis of internal control breakdowns.
- Ensuring that in store standards meet customer expectations and assisting the Retail Operations team as and when required to cover holidays.

**About You | Mōu
**To succeed in this role, ideally you will have retail management experience and if you can lead a business taking accountability for profit and loss then we ought to connect.

You will have experience in:

- Risk management and stakeholder engagement/management.
- Leading multiple or multi layered team within a division or a large functional unit.
- Building strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders across levels and divisions in the business to ensure open and collaborative efforts toward meeting business objectives.
- Handling issues and problems solving - for example financial shortfalls, supply issues, confronting and addressing poor performance issues.
