The New Zealand Transport Planning Team has an exciting opportunity to join a well-established thriving team with a strong pipeline of projects. In your role as a **Senior Associate Transport Planner/Engineer** you will be responsible for providing leading consultancy services in the NZ Transport Planning market. We are looking for a senior professional who will play a key role in building the transport planning team, client base and project work. You will work closely with project managers, technical directors, and team/section leaders from across NZ and be a technical and project management leader for transport planning, modelling, and engineering projects. You will also provide technical guidance and transport planning advice on large strategic consulting, design, and business case projects.

You will be instrumental in collaborating with commercial, project management and technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, win and deliver a range of projects. The role will support management of the Transport Planning team, in terms of team development and growth, building technical capability and growing the Jacobs transport planning market share in New Zealand. **Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Extensive experience working on multidisciplinary transport projects
- Vast knowledge and breadth of transport engineering/planning/modelling concepts and tasks
- Extensive understanding of principles and standards informing road design concepts and development and the interfaces between transport planning and infrastructure design
- Demonstrated leadership by providing clear direction and autonomous management of projects and technical teams with commercial aptitude and client orientated thinking
- Excellent negotiation skills with respect to all technical matters
- The ability to articulate a clear direction and have good social, networking and presentation skills.
