**Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Grow your career, playing a key role in the delivery of strategic Transport Engineering, Planning and Safety projects. This role provides the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic projects that enhance the safety and operations of transport networks across Auckland and beyond. You will be joining a nation-wide team of over 80 transport planners, engineers, traffic modellers and technical experts dedicated to improving the safety and efficiency of our transport networks.

You will be supporting the delivery of diverse projects, including traffic engineering, safety programs, and network maintenance that make a community impact through by improving transport safety and operations, making a tangible difference for communities throughout New Zealand. You will also be working in a collaborative environment, including with local and national clients such as Auckland Transport, Auckland Council, and Waka Kotahi.

From this role, you will gain access to professional development opportunities and mentorship from leading experts in the transport engineering, safety and planning fields.

This role suits Transport consultants with some experience across the transport domain, and who are now ambitious to contribute and develop their skill set and capabilities. You will be a people person creating the environment to express, understand and work with very different viewpoints. You will enjoy the challenge of working collaboratively with stakeholders, with the ability to guide discussions to enable project delivery.
