The Jetstar NZ Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft and customer aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times.

Your new position as a LAME - Line Station Engineer (LSE) will see you performing line maintenance services on Jetstar and client airlines in compliance with the operators AOC and regulatory framework. This permanent role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability and service.

To achieve success in this role, you will:

- Hold a B1 or B2 Category Australian CASA Aircraft Engineer license / New Zealand CAA or ICAO equivalent license that can be converted.
- Hold one or more of the following A320, A330, B737 or B787 ratings
- Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others;
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Have experience in aircraft maintenance;
- Have a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders;
- Hold a valid driving license and ability to obtain an Airside Driver’s License;
- Be able to work a minimum of 40 + hours per week;
- Ability to work 24/7 shift work (12-hour shifts)

Earning Potential

Jetstar’s Licensed Engineers in New Zealand have an earning potential of over NZ$200K annually (inclusive of allowances, shift penalties, overtime and superannuation).

New starters also receive sign on and retention bonuses plus potential relocation package (if relocating for the role).

We also provide world class training opportunities in order for our team to reach their ultimate earning potential.
- Base salary only excluding all above inclusions NZ$124,763 - 126,477._

- Jetstar is currently recruiting for a very limited number of vacancies in Auckland
- As a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (otherwise known as LAME or LSE / Line Station Engineer), you will be required to work on a 24/ shift pattern consisting of 4 days on, 4 days off, including day shifts, afternoon shifts and night shifts.
- Our flying schedule operates 364 days per year and our team members are committed to working throughout this time including weekends, school holidays and public holidays.
- Our team members work healthy working hours and we ensure rest periods are adhered to.
