In this role you will be supporting the Payroll team a well as have the opportunity to flex your systems, processes, reporting and relationship building skills in the wider business. This role is an integral part of our Business Services delivery and you will be working closely within a small team to ensure we deliver an excellent service to our staff.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to contribute to process improvement and refinement of internal policies - we are always looking for opportunities to do things better
**About you**:
- 2-3 years + payroll experience
- Working knowledge of a larger payroll system like CHRIS21
- Great communicator, friendly and approachable, with a good sense of humour
- Process orientated with great attention to detail
- Deadline driven - you know how to get things done
- Strong knowledge of NZ employment legislation
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
**About the role**:
- Supporting the Payroll team to deliver fortnightly and monthly payroll.
- Quality review of data, including reconciliations and cross referencing with HR and ERP systems
- Answering payroll queries as escalated through our Helpdesk Hub
- Responsibility for meeting all payroll related tax obligations with the IRD including timely and accurate filing/payment of PAYE, Kiwisaver etc
- Supporting the completion of lodging payroll survey information with Statistics New Zealand
- Performing system testing and data audits where required
- Attending payroll user group on behalf of the company and ensuring we are up to date will all system and legislative changes
