**About the Role**
Ventia is recruiting a hardworking Senior Payroll Admin to support end-to-end Payroll activities. You will have the opportunity to help supervise a tight payroll team and act as the 2IC from the Payroll Manager. This is a busy, varied, and dynamic role with the need for someone to have the capability to step up and look after payroll admins, ensuring you are confident that your work is running smoothly.
Other responsibilities include:
- Taking the lead as second-in-charge and overseeing the payroll function along with the payroll admins
- Proactively managing and complying with payroll processes while adhering to legislative obligations
- Ongoing evaluation of quality input and timely delivery of payroll ensuring the accuracy of payroll payments to avoid overpayments and off-cycle payments
- Reducing the volume of payroll queries and tasks in the payroll ticketing system
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the business stakeholders, HR, ER, and Contract teams
- Conducting comprehensive audits to further improve time entry data and payroll accuracy
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have solid and proven Payroll experience within a medium to large organization. You will need to have the ability to supervise a team of payroll admins; be focused, flexible, and detail-oriented, and understand the importance of being proactive as Payroll is a highly critical function in the business.
It is imperative that you can maintain confidentiality and determine priorities whilst being proactive within a fast-paced environment. A great sense of humour, good energy attitude, and strong communication skills are key to your success in this role along with the following:
- Previous Team Lead or Supervisory experience is beneficial
- Computer savvy - advanced knowledge of MS Excel in particular (along with other MS programmes)
- Knowledge and experience in the use of SAP or similar program is a plus but not required - happy to train
- The drive to further themselves by learning new skills and being open to new opportunities or ways of doing things
- Good data-entry and customer service skills
- Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Can work effectively in a high-pressure environment & problem solve
