Ventia has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Auckland Head Office.

**WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?**

This is an exciting, broadly scoped role that will see you working on a variety of tasks within the Shared Services team and support BAU (end to end) Payroll activities. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your time and task management capabilities and work with an experienced, strong, and collaborative team. It is essential that you are flexible, organized, and have the capability to step up when needed, with the confidence to keep the work you will be looking after, running smoothly.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As part of this team, you will primarily be responsible for the following:

- Proactively managing and complying with payroll processes and adhering to legislative obligations for accurate and timely delivery of all payrolls.
- Ongoing evaluation of quality input and timely delivery of payroll ensuring accuracy of payroll payments therefore avoiding overpayments and off cycle payments.
- Oversee the work of the payroll administrators in the team and step up as a 2IC as required
- Reducing volume of payroll queries and tasks in payroll ticketing system.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the business stakeholders, HR, ER and Contract teams.
- Conducting comprehensive audits to further improve time entry data and payroll accuracy.

**ABOUT YOU**

In order to be successful in this role, it is ideal that you have a minimum of 5 years Payroll experience within a large organization and preferably have supervisory experience. Sound knowledge and experience in the use of SAP or similar program is also critical. Strong computer skills and experience in MS Office particularly Excel, Word, and outlook are expected and high level of attention to detail; ability to maintain confidentiality; and a great sense of humour are essential.

Other qualities desired are good customer service skills, good keyboard and data entry skills, great energy, flexible, pro-active, and has the drive to further themselves by learning new skills and being open to new opportunities or ways of doing things.
