We have an excellent opportunity to join our team. Our Payroll team is expanding and we are looking for an enthusiastic Payroll Administrator. This is a permanent full-time position based in our Head Office (Greenlane, Auckland).
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, we are seeking an experienced, committed and highly organised Payroll Administrator to join our busy and supportive Finance and Payroll team. As a Payroll Administrator in Healthvision, you will ensure that the weekly payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
**Key Tasks Involved**:
- Processing the weekly time sheets within the set timeframe for all Healthvision offices and according to the set rules
- Filing PAYE and other IRD returns
- Administering Kiwisaver and compiling reports as required
- Responding to payroll related queries including leave queries
- Ensuring all employee master data in Payroll Systems are accurately maintained
- Identifying and reporting any issues and errors relating to the time sheet process
- Updating paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on any contract variations
- Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
- Upskilling, and keeping abreast with relevant legislation changes and its impact on the organisation
**To be successful in this role**, you would ideally have a sound knowledge of the Privacy and Holidays Act and have the ability to work in a complex and changing environment. You would have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build and establish relationships and:
- 2 years’ experience with accounting systems and/or New Zealand payroll systems
- Experience in preparing, clarifying and transferring timesheet data and preparing pay runs from timesheets and checking all data entry
- Some technical knowledge and interest/ability to work with IT platforms and the latest cloud-based solutions
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills - ability to develop and work with Excel modelling to assist with process improvement and accuracy of data
- Ability to plan, to set priorities, and maintain performance under pressure
- Very good analytical skills, including attention to detail
- Ability to take initiatives or decisions in a mature manner
- Be discreet and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- The right to work legally and permanently in New Zealand.
