Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
The Government Services Group provides the Ministry and its Ministers with support to carry out their democratic functions across its four teams: OIA Services, Ministerial Correspondence, Parliamentary Advice and Coordination, and OIA Advisory and Complaints. Particular support is provided to the Ministry's Private Secretaries in Ministerial Offices.
The OIA Advisory and Complaints Manager has functional responsibility for leading responses to informal complaints referred from the Office of the Ombudsman, organisational reporting on Government Services functions, and supporting the OIA Services Manager in responding to requests for information.

**The OIA Advisory and Complaints team will**:

- Build the Ministry's capability and capacity for responding to queries from the public and a process for the timely and effective provision of information programme of work that is aligned with the Directorate and Ministry to deliver on the Government's and Ministry priorities
- Grow and support the organisation's machinery of government capability
- Lead a feedback loop so that the organisation can learn from complaints

Ko ngā pukenga ōu - What You'll Bring

An excellent knowledge of government structures and processes, and the machinery of Government.
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience, including those with a legal or public policy focus.
Previous successful leadership experience in an operational and/or role with a ministerial interface.
Strong experience working with government decision-making and operating procedures and working with Ministers and their office(s), and central agencies.
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships through collaboration and partnerships.
