- We're offering a competitive salary starting from $106,416 to $117,782, depending on experience

Mō te tūnga | About the role
Join our Ministerial Support team, where you'll play a key role in managing public correspondence for Oranga Tamariki and the Minister. In this fast-paced environment, you'll support the Ministerial Services team and our Ministers Office through the provision of advice and preparing of responses to official correspondence and parliamentary questions.
You will also support the team by processing and drafting responses to Official Information Act requests, and provide advice, training, and mentoring to Advisor's within the team. This position requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
**Key requirements of the role include**:

- Manage the effective, secure and timely flow of documents to meet applicable deadlines and quality and performance standards
- Manage Official Information Act requests for Oranga Tamariki and (on request) for the Minister's Office. Draft OIA correspondence, including transfers, extensions and responses
- Provide high quality advice and assistance to Oranga Tamariki staff about the processes, procedures and requirements relating to OIA requests, written PQs and Ministerial correspondence
- Create a supportive and positive environment, helping others develop and achieve, and acting in the interests of the full team
- Prepare regular update reports when required, to assist in managing the compliance with statutory deadlines and standard operating procedures in respect of Ministerial correspondence and written PQs
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
