Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
The Government and Executive Services (GES) Directorate provides support and services for the Ministers and Executive Leadership Team to enable effective governance, brand, and reputation of the organisation.
The Government Services Group sits within the GES Directorate and is at the heart of transparency for decisions that Ministers and the Ministry make that impact on the lives of New Zealanders. People in the group are experts on machinery of government and they work to support Ministers and Ministry through high quality correspondence, Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary Questions, Private Secretary support as well as other Parliamentary processes such as Select Committees.

We have opportunities available now for the following roles in the Government Services Group:

- OIA and Complaints team - 1x Senior Advisor and 1x Advisor
- Parliamentary Advice and Coordination - 1x Advisor

The OIA and complaints team focuses on supporting the Ministry to manage proactive release of OIAs and ensure appropriate handling of complaints; it is an important part of the Ministry's overall integrity architecture.
The Parliamentary Advice and Coordination key areas of focus are preparing answers for parliamentary questions on topical issues for Ministers and supporting Ministers and the Ministry's Executive Leadership Team at Select Committee; the team is heart to the working relationship between the Ministry and Parliament.
