New Zealand New Zealand Government Full time

We are New Zealand's financial markets conduct regulator, the Financial Markets Authority - Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko.
We lead better, fairer outcomes for investors, consumers, and New Zealanders. Our innovative people drive the evolution of the financial industry, influencing the market and effecting positive change. Our remit and regulatory approach are expanding and evolving, which means we need new talent to develop, support and deliver our strategy.

**He angitūtanga**: The opportunity
This newly created Senior Adviser role will work closely with our L&D Manager, L&D Coordinator and the wider People Team to deliver learning initiatives that support the development and growth of staff. This is not your typical BAU role - this exciting position has a focus on project management, which will provide you with the opportunity to lead key L&D projects from ideation through to execution.

**Key focus areas include**:

- Project management of learning initiatives
- Carrying out training needs analyses to identify learning requirements using a competency framework
- Contributing to the implementation of a L&D strategy for the FMA that is forward-looking and sets the organisation up for future demands

**He kōrero mōu**: About you
You will have a solid Learning & Development background with an understanding of competency frameworks and proficiency mapping; as well as experience designing, facilitating and evaluating L&D programmes. We are especially interested to hear from L&D professionals who have successfully led projects and are excited about the opportunity to flex their project management muscles.
A general understanding of the financial services and the role of a regulator would be beneficial but is not essential.

**Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou**: What we offer
We pride ourselves on our wide range of learning, personal & professional development and wellbeing offerings which reflects our commitment to ensuring all FMAers are supported to bring our best selves to work.
We even have our very own dedicated FunSquad who organise creative ways for all FMAers to connect and socialise.
We gift additional 'FMA Days' so you get to enjoy extra annual leave over the Christmas holidays.
