**Job Description** Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Programme Advisor - Applied Doctorates Scheme to join the School of Graduate Studies. In this key support role, you will provide advisory services and operational coordination for the delivery of the nationally funded Applied Doctorates Scheme.
In this role, you will:
- Design and coordinate the training programme for students and supervisors.
- Lead the planning and execution of the scheme’s annual national conference.
- Manage individual student cases and support the student experience from admission to completion.
- Maintain programme communications, including the website and social media platforms.
- Collaborate closely with the Programme Manager and partner universities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. The salary range for this role is $83,330 - $102,900 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

You are a confident communicator and relationship builder with experience supporting postgraduate students and managing complex processes across diverse stakeholder groups.
You will also bring:
- A tertiary qualification (postgraduate research degree preferred).
- At least five years of experience in the tertiary education sector, ideally involving doctoral students.
- Strong organisational, planning, and event coordination skills.
- Experience developing and improving administrative and advisory processes.
- Excellent communication skills, including digital content management and social media proficiency.
- Knowledge of New Zealand’s doctoral education landscape and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity.
