He angitūtanga - The opportunity
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is a Crown Entity whose purpose is to mobilise New Zealanders to be world leaders in clean and clever energy use. Our strategic focus areas are based on influencing the energy decisions in the transport, business, and residential sectors.
We've recently developed a 'Regional Energy Transition Accelerator'(RETA) programme - which is all about understanding region-specific opportunities and barriers that can be addressed to accelerate decarbonisation at a regional level. This exciting new programme involves work across medium to large processing business, electricity and bioenergy fuel supply chains, and engagement with regional stakeholders to increase collaboration and accelerate action within each region.
As part of this workstream, the newly-created RETA Programme Advisor role will support the development of cohesive reports for each region, help facilitate collaboration across key stakeholders and businesses, and work to optimise the use of EECA's channels and co-funding options to deliver on the decarbonisation pathways that are identified.

**To be successful in this role, you'll have**:
- good knowledge of the energy industry, and energy use in business
- good understanding of regional dynamics that are important to businesses
- proven background in stakeholder relationship management
- experience distilling information to produce reports and recommendations.
