Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityTransport Services is an end-to-end business group that focuses on our transport system - from policy and planning, through design and delivery, to maintenance and operations. We have a fantastic opportunity for an Advisor, NZUP Programme Reporting & Control to join our NZ Upgrade team. You'll work closely with the programme and project teams to provide meaningful analysis and reporting to support the delivery of the programme. Your role will also provide advisory support to other crown funded programmes of work.Focussing on the New Zealand Upgrade Programme (NZUP) which reflects the Government's balanced Transport Policy with $8.7 billion being invested in road, rail, public transport and walking and cycling projects across the country. Communities can look forward to transport improvements that provide better travel choices that help people get where they're going safely, while responding to the impacts of transport on the environment. The Programme Management Team provides programme-level strategies (e.g. procurement, consenting, technology), planning, scheduling and reporting, financial control, innovation and improvement. The individual projects are delivered through the System Design and Infrastructure Delivery teams.This is a truly rewarding role, as you'll be working across the programme not only providing monthly insights to support the regular reporting cycles, but also using your experience to provide one-off and in-depth analysis to support the requests of stakeholders.This is a close-knit supportive team where you'll have the opportunity to work across a range of varied projects and work diversifying your own skills and evolving with the Programme. Ko koe tēnei | About youAs our Advisor, you'll bring your curiosity to analyse trends and identify insights then use your experience in reporting and communicating to present these insights to senior leaders. Your strong relationship management skills will enable you to work well with team members and wider stakeholders. In addition, you'll bring:
- Relevant project or programme analysis and reporting experience
- (preferred) knowledge of the transport/infrastructure sector
- The ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver organisational outcomes, balanced with the ability to work independently
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience working with recognized project and programme management systems and software.
- A good understanding of project and risk management
