We are looking for a Senior Adviser Lender Engagement and Education to join our Engagement and Operations team in our Credit branch. This is a permanent role based in our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
The Credit branch's work under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act protects New Zealanders when they borrow money or buy goods on credit. Our guidance and enforcement actions contribute to making the lending system safe, transparent and fair. It ensures that consumers have the right information to make borrowing decisions, and that lenders are following the rules when setting fees, providing information, and offering products.
Working closely within Engagement and Operations team you will:
- support the development of the Engagement and Operations work programme
- manage projects relating to the work programme, and
- provide intelligence on current and emerging issues in credit markets
He kōrero mōu | About you
We're looking for someone who is passionate about engagement and education, a skilled communicator and a true team player. You will have an understanding of, and commitment to, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tikanga Māori and be comfortable in a te ao Māori environment. You'll also have excellent education and engagement skills
**Along with this you'll also**:
- be comfortable presenting to groups
- have well-developed relationship management skills to engage confidently and credibly with internal and external stakeholders
- have a tool box to develop engagement and education strategies to reach many end users
- be flexible, relaxed under pressure and bring a systems thinking approach to problem solving.
