We are looking for a high-performing Senior Adviser with a strong international Engagement focus to join our Fair Trading branch. This is a permanent, part time role based in either our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) office or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

Mō te tūranga | About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly collaborative and supportive team. The Fair Trading branch investigates business conduct in breach of the Fair Trading Act and product safety standards. We have a busy, interesting programme of work to address poor business conduct and protect consumers in their everyday purchases of goods and services. Our Fair Trading staff are passionate, motivated, friendly and smart.
You will have a lot of autonomy to be able to further shape the work for our International programme in the Fair Trading branch.
You will engage with managers and across the branches to ensure that everyone is kept abreast of evolving international focus areas. You will be comfortable developing briefings, memos and budget bids, as well as being able to represent our interests in international meetings.

As a valued Senior Adviser, you will maintain perspective, adjusting your effort according to what matters most to the branch. You focus on the Fair Trading vision and strategy and your role in supporting that. While dramas are not for you, managing deadlines and multi-tasking are things you do with ease.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- The ability to influence and work collaboratively with various groups and government agency partners.
- Excellent project management and planning capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong analytical mindset.
