**The Role**
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HSEQ Adviser to join our New Zealand team. As the Senior HSEQ Adviser, your role will be to drive positive cultural change and behaviour with respect to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSEQ) across all divisions of Programmed nationally, actively pursuing continuous improvement opportunities across all business units regarding HSEQ.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the development of the Group and divisional HSEQ strategy plans and frameworks for Programmed and in business divisions where required
- Proactively engage with the business to ensure alignment to zero harm initiatives, ensuring all reasonable actions are taken to mitigate risks across all Programmed business processes and procedures
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to influence cultural development and continuous improvement
- Promote an organisational culture that empowers workers to contribute positively to HSEQ in line with Programmed values
- Ensure that the relevant divisional stakeholders are notified of incidents as required by the incident reporting and investigation procedure
- Identify key HSEQ themes for Programmed and develop strategic action plans to drive a focus on operational improvement and risk minimization
- Review internal and external audit results and support the implementation of corrective actions that are relevant
- Establish close working relationships with key operational stakeholders, contractors, and customers across Programmed to leverage positive change
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS, business management of technical discipline relevant to the area of operation or equivalent work experience
- Experience in a high-risk environment is preferred but not essential
- Strong generalist HSEQ skills
- ICAM or equivalent investigation training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Proven experience managing HSEQ in a complex organisation, demonstrating a working knowledge of current HSEQ legislation
- Previous experience in developing, implementing, and managing Health and Safety Management systems
- Leads, communicates, and supports a change agenda
