Inland Revenue's Business Transformation Programme has enabled us to build new capabilities and to work differently, and we're in the middle of an exciting initiative designed to build IR's Māori cultural capability.
The Te Arapiki learning programme will include delivery of learning assets, including multi-media rich content and face to face learning, that builds the capability of IR people across the range of capabilities aligned to the Te Arawhiti cultural capabilities framework. All staff and leaders at Inland Revenue (IR), and the organisation itself, will be able to use Te Arapiki to plan, develop and monitor progress and development against Māori Crown capabilities.
This fixed-term role or secondment is an opportunity for someone with strong experience coordinating multi-faceted programmes of work within large, complex organisations and management of multiple stakeholders and vendors. Given the strong focus on people, you will have an interest in either organisational development or cultural change initiatives with the proven ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.
Ara Whiwhi Mahi - The Opportunity
As a Domain Specialist (L2), you will be part of a team tasked with design and delivery of Te Arapiki, a learning programme designed to build the Māori cultural capability of IR People.
**The role will include**:
- partnering with external suppliers to provide quality learning solutions
- working with business groups on how to use the new way of learning to deliver on their capability uplift requirements
- making connections and navigating the organisation to influence decisions and clear the way for our new learning approach
- contributing to initiatives and sharing knowledge to achieve the desired impact throughout the organisation.
Mōu - About you
**To be successful in this role you will bring**:
- five years in a learning and development role
- experience leading or contributing to learning initiatives in a complex and diverse organisation
- critical thinking ability and a natural curiosity
- strong coaching, influencing and facilitation skills
- strong written and oral communication skills
- an ability to build positive working relationships at all levels
- knowledge of the external learning provider market and procurement experience
- strong data and analytics skills
- an ability to plan and manage priorities.
