**_Te mahi / The Role_**

This leadership position in the newly transformed Information Systems Group, is responsible for leading and mentoring agile teams that deliver innovative and future-focused full-lifecycle software and cloud solutions.

The Development Portfolio is responsible for promoting and delivering capabilities throughout the University with a particular emphasis platform based development and adding value through innovative bespoke initiatives in the academic areas of the organisation where no other traditional, sustainable or cost-effective solution is practicable.

**_Kā pūkeka me kā wheako / Skills and experience_**

To be successful in this role, you will have considerable experience delivering full lifecycle software development and cloud solutions in a medium size or complex organisation.

You will have broad experience across a range of development methods and concepts and will be able to mentor staff to grow capability within the organisation, you will hold a Scrum or other agile certification.

You will need have experience in and be comfortable delivering in a consultative and partnership based approach as well as developing estimates and forecast planning for initiatives and projects.

This role leads two development teams one working with cloud platforms and the other with bespoke development, so ideally you will have experience leading, and managing teams of highly technical delivery experts.

You will work with our clients and other IT technical teams, so you will need to be the type of person who is comfortable maintaining and growing a wide range of relationships with the various University stakeholders.

This is a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) position.
