Job DescriptionThe Opportunity
The primary purpose of this newly created position is to oversee the delivery of Aurora Energy's annual network work programme. This includes all aspects of the programme ranging from capital project / programme delivery, maintenance inspections & faults.
Key role responsibilities include;
- Design and implementation of a delivery framework that guides projects through the entire lifecycle ensuring they are delivered on time & to budget
- Ensuring there is real time visibility of the entire project portfolio through the development and implementation of reporting tools
- Ownership of programme expenditure (budgeting, forecasting, approvals)
Optimising work allocation by using the latest information on external contractor resource availability.
This role is a permanent full-time position ideally based out of Dunedin or Cromwell. Dunedin is a relaxed city, surrounded by beautiful beaches, short commutes and has great character thanks to its stunning architecture. Central Otago, a gate way to a wide range of summer and winter activities which makes it a great place to live, work and raise a family. Relocation support is on offer for the successful candidate.
About You
We are seeking an experienced candidate with demonstrated experience working across programme / portfolio delivery management. Ideally your industry experience will include utilities, energy, infrastructure or similar.
Management of complex multi-stream programmes (both CAPEX & OPEX) are a big advantage along with proven commercial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, analysis & reporting). This is a senior & critical role in the organisation so stellar stakeholder management skills across a diverse range (board to contractors) is a key requirement.
