**About the role**

The Head of the Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO) is a key part of the Transformation & Technology Leadership Team, and is responsible for providing leadership, management, coordination, and direction to teams delivering to and supporting Silver Fern Farms’ portfolio.

The role of the EPO is to ensure the strategic alignment and successful delivery of programmes and projects. Through providing guidance, governance and tools, the office assists the deployment of multi-disciplinary and agile teams, ensures projects are aligned with our strategic objectives, and contributes to our projects being fit for purpose to assist in benefits being realised that were identified at a programme or project initiation

The responsibilities of the Head of the Enterprise Portfolio Office primarily include:

- Manage the resource demands of the portfolio by providing resource capability where needed.
- Be the expert on Portfolio, Programme and Project Management methodologies that provides our staff with assurance that the EPO is providing sound global practice advice
- The Product Owner for the Projects Framework, which covers all facets of the POTI (Processes, Organisation, Technology, Information) model with regards to ongoing enhancement of the Product
- Help projects in assuring that they are following the projects framework by helping lift project maturity levels
- Be an active contributor to the Portfolio Advisory Group, providing insights on resource capacity and portfolio health that aides in ensuring we are doing the right things.

**What you’ll bring to the role**

Key attributes and experience:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in directing and managing Portfolio Offices within a complex organizational environment, including a wealth of knowledge on what good looks like based on learned experiences
- Experience with the realisation of benefits that have come from detailed business cases;
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in facilitating workshops and ideation across multiple stakeholders and differing levels;
- Knowledge of the New Zealand red meat industry and the role that SFF plays in New Zealand would be advantageous
- Experience in co-design and human centred design methodologies would also be advantageous.
