We are an independent New Zealand mobile towers and passive infrastructure business. We operate a nationwide portfolio of over 1,250 mobile sites and are responsible for building and densifying our network of mobile towers across New Zealand to enable 5G and future mobile technology rollouts. Our principal customers are Spark New Zealand and other wireless network operators like 2degrees and Vodafone who install active radio equipment on our towers. Working across New Zealand with a range of stakeholders, landlords and communities, we enable our customers to provide coverage and services to their end users to help unlock New Zealand’s digital potential.

Connexa is owned by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board (OTPP) as a majority shareholder (70%) and Spark New Zealand Limited retains a 30% interest.

As the Acquisition Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the selection and acquisition of suitable telecommunications sites across a wide range of landscapes throughout New Zealand. You will be dealing with a wide range of people from farmers through to commercial property owners. You will ensure the timely acquisition of signed property agreements and planning consents in the quantity and at the rate required by the business to enable delivery of Connexa ’s expansion plans.

You’ll be joining a fast-growing team in a newly established company where you’ll play a key role in shaping the ways of working and co-creating the culture.

**Requirements**:
Key Responsibilities include:

- Manage multiple concurrent site acquisition projects, ensuring that sites are delivered to the business on time and within budget
- Manage commercial negotiations with land owners and legal negotiations with their solicitors during securing suitable tenure over the telecommunications site.
- Coordinate and attend site visits and technical team visits during the site selection process.
- Prepare and update site status reports/databases

You will have:

- Bachelors Degree in Property or Planning; or equivalent combination of education and site acquisition management experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, or other demonstrated project coordination experience
- A strong background in negotiation of leases and associated documents
- A working knowledge of the Resource Management Act
- Track record of success in a team environment in the complex delivery of multiple projects
- Excellent computer/reporting skills, including a high level of proficiency with MS Suite, GIS spatial systems and other database/project management tracking tools.
- Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and work effectively with limited supervision.
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work under aggressive project schedules. Ability to deal with pressure and multiple deadlines through good time management and prioritisation.
